Maintaining diving systems and equipment is an essential and accountable task performed by dive technicians. Learning Objectives
This course equips individuals with a technical background to safely maintain life support equipment used on both inshore and offshore dive sites. It forms the foundation for progression through the dive technician training scheme and prepares participants for hands-on work as workshop trainees.
Topics include an introduction to saturation diving systems, air chambers, high-pressure gas systems, diving helmets, compressors, and oxygen cleaning procedures.
Entry Requirement
Candidates must have completed a recognised technical trade apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications as listed in IMCA D001.
Certificates Issued:
Students who complete the course will receive an STA Certificate of Competence.
